When did you begin your career in the title or real estate industry and how did you get your start?
I started June 1, 1959 as the runner for Commercial Abstract and Title Company.
What is the most satisfying part of your role in the transaction process and what makes you stand out from others in your industry?
To see the joy in the faces of buyers who have achieved their dream of becoming homeowners is very gratifing, to know you played a small part in their journey. Since I’ve been in the business over fifty six years it is wonderful feeling to get repeated business from Realtors and Customers. Wether they are new buyers, refinance or multiple others types of transactions it’s essential that they know I took good care of their needs. My goal is to apply my fifty six years of knowledge and expertise to give each one of them my very best.
What factors from your past experience have contibuted the most to your current unique skill set?
My mentor stressed the importance of doing things “the right way”. Paying attention to all details and keeping all parties informed will lead to a successful closing. The ultimate goal is to see all parties sellers, buyers, real estate agents and lenders know that you did your best and the whole process was very special to one and all. Knowing that wehn they buy or sell another property they will say “let’s go back to Alex”.
When you're away from the busy Mission Title office, what are some of your favorite activities ?
My favorite activities are spending time with family, loved ones and working with young people at church and school. Going to church retreats, camp and attending sporting events are very important as I work with young people.
After fifty six years in the title business I still consider myself BLESSED.
