Four months after Avicii’s tragic death, the Hollywood Hills home of the famed Swedish DJ and electronic music producer has sold off market for $17.5 million.
The modern home, which was built in 2008 and in which 28-year-old Avicii would spend considerable time until his death, went to an unidentified buyer in an off market deal, the L.A. Times first reported.
After gaining a devoted popular following with songs such as “Le7els” and “Wake Me Up,” the DJ purchased the house in L.A.’s high-end Bird Streets neighborhood for $15.55 million back in 2013.
Avicii, who was born with the name Tim Bergling and helped popularize the electronic music genre, passed away in an apparent suicide while visiting the capital of Oman in April.
The Real Deal reported that David Weise, a business manager who once worked with the musician, was still connected to the property in June. While the house has been sold off the market and with scant listing photos, Bergling would often post photos of himself and his friends spending time in it on his Instagram account.
In the last Instagram photo posted two weeks before his death, Avicii stands over the tiles of the home as a grand piano and a view of the city dot the background.
