Real Estate Webmasters, the custom web design and marketing firm for real estate professionals, is hiring industry veteran Laura Monroe as the company’s first-ever head of industry and brand engagement.
Monroe was previously vice president of growth and partner collective at Sequel, a rival custom web marketing company subsidiary of the brokerage Rennie, that abruptly shutdown earlier this month following a failed acquisition deal. She also held prior roles at RealSatisfied and Inman.
“This is the right opportunity at the right time,” Monroe said, in a release. “In a landscape where venture capital-driven companies are driving the news cycle, it doesn’t translate well for clients seeking meaningful partnerships.”
“That’s why it was important for me to work with a company that has a long-standing, proven history of organic success and innovation in the industry. Morgan Carey and Real Estate Webmasters provides precisely that.”
In the newly created role, Monroe will focus on client engagement, brand development and industry relations for the company, which counts industry notables including Fredrik Eklund and Barbara Corcoran among its clients.
In a release, Carey called Monroe iconic and with a “stellar reputation and unparalleled expertise.”

“This is an exciting time here at Real Estate Webmasters,” Carey said, in a release. “We have strong partnerships with the top real estate professionals on the planet – we are helping them design their futures and we are providing the best advice and the best technology so they can compete and win.”
Carey added, “With Monroe on board, our work can only get bigger and better.”
Real Estate Webmasters will celebrate its 15th anniversary in 2019. The company said it plans to expand upstream, with more enterprise offerings, and will offer a strategic recruitment campaign for advocates, clients and team members.
