New York — the city that never sleeps. Whether it’s your first time or you make the trip regularly, there’s always something new to do or see in this part of the world.

You’ll get your chance to experience it all at Inman Connect New York, taking place January 29 through February 1 at the Marriott Marquis Times Square.

We asked the Inman Ambassadors to share their tips for the best way to spend your off-the-clock time in the Big Apple; here are their responses.

Annette Anthony: There is so much to do! Walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, eat real authentic New York food, there are tons of tours, art museums, shows. Plan what you want to do and see in advance — don’t wait until you get there.

Steven Norris: It’s all about the great food and shows! Cab rides can be entertainment in themselves.

Lee Adkins: Check out of the conference at some point and just be in Manhattan — Highline, the Village or any of the less touristy areas of NYC.

Peter Brewer: Stand in the snow in Times Square and inhale the magic.

Billy Ekofo: Believe it or not — it’s a combination of sitting by the window at the main level bar, and watch the night life taking place below, and taking a walk in the city with a group of friends after dinner.

Sean Carpenter: My annual “Official Unofficial Inman Connect Happy Hour” at O’Hara’s Pub near Ground Zero. It’s always a treat to introduce new attendees to this iconic pub and have past attendees come and share memories and raise a glass to all the first responders we lost on 9/11 and thank our current first responders around the country and world.

Andrea Geller: Depends on what exhibits are on at what museums. I love a walk through Central Park up to Madison Avenue. Then shop my way down Madison Avenue. Even though I live in a big city, the selections are nowhere close to what they are in Madison Ave boutiques. Also walking the floors at Barney’s is like walking a museum.

Lynn Johnson: The people at the conference! I love seeing all the familiar faces from years past and reconnecting with each of them. If we are talking about things outside of the conference and hotel, I love going to Koi at Bryant Park and enjoying the lobster tacos — I will be doing that, for sure! Also, I love heading to Bar 9 on 9th Avenue for a fun night with the dueling pianos! I do love the NYC shopping, too.

Tara Christianson: It’s cheesy, but we love it — Central Park. We always go walk around Central Park for a few hours, and it’s now a tradition.

Kristina Gershteyn: I love to be a tourist in my own city. I feed off of the energy of this vibrant city, its rhythm and its ability to make dreams come true. It’s New York ! it always feels like you’re in the center of the world when you are in New York City.
