Housing Affordability Index falls

Housing affordability continues to fall, according to the National Association of Realtors’ Housing Affordability Index, released on Tuesday. Nationwide, the average price of a single-family home fell modestly to $256,400 in December, from $259,900 in November, while rising to $261,600 in 2018, up from $248,800.
